Beautiful and entertaining building in good location. Our room was lovely: amazing ceiling height and therefore insanely huge curtains. Nice bathroom, great shower. Service excellent.

Very impressive foyer, but only one lift that wasn`t working when we came back in the evening! Although very grand staircase to climb. Directions to room nearly none existant.Room was interesting, reminded me of a victorian school with the old fashioned tiles. Beautiful high ceilings, lovely but very drafty windows and poor quality bathroom. Very mixed feelings about the hotel,equal mix of good and bad points. Restaurant was very smart but buffet style breakfasts are always warm not hot, a little dissapointing in such luxurious surroundings. Would I go back, not really.

Top Tip
Not too far to walk to town and the arena as we did. Enjoyed the wheel and didn`t have to wait long to get on,the shops are really good.

The hotel was amazing and the room was great. The only problem I had was the food. I ordered a portion of chips and they were not cooked properly and then on the night I ordered a cheese sandwich and recieved a ham one. The breakfast in the morning was cold.

Our rooms were booked 3 months prior to this date - our friemds room was not ready when we arrived @ 3.30pm, they were told it would be ready by 4pm ..... room was still not ready at 4.30pm so they asked for another room, eventually they were upgraded to a far more superior room than our pokey little room (024) located downstairs, the window wouldn't open so there was no air, it was very warm during the night .... if there had been a fire in the corridor we wouldn't have been able to get out. I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone nor will I be staying again - I feel cheated really, having booked & paid for both rooms to be left with a horrible one, not a pleasant stay at all !!

If your room is located downstairs (i.e. floor M for instance) ask to be moved !!

room 362. exceptional bathroom, superb. Only negative is room was quite noisy as right next to train line.
