Palace hotel

Oxford Road, Manchester M60 7HA

Our Review

It’s difficult to imagine a hotel built on a grander or more impressive scale than the Palace. Even visitors to Manchester who aren’t staying here pass by just to see the amazing lobby with its ceramic tiles and sweeping staircase! Guests also value the comfort of the rooms and the helpfulness of the staff.

The Palace Hotel is housed in a magnificent, listed Edwardian building with a terracotta façade, which is a recognised landmark in Manchester, thanks to its distinctive clock tower. The spacious, classically designed lobby features a sweeping marble staircase, ornate ceramic tiles and a soaring stained glass dome. The Palace Hotel has also recently been awarded the prestigious GOLD GREEN BUSINESS TOURISM SCHEME AWARD, becoming the 2nd Hotel in Manchester and 1ST Principal Hayley Hotel to be awarded the gold award.

The hotel contains 257 guestrooms. The updated rooms are decorated in a chic, contemporary style, with pale colour schemes complemented by colourful photographic prints above the beds. The older rooms are decorated in a more traditional style, with heavy brocades in rich colours, canopy beds, dark-wood furniture and oversized table lamps. Offering a peaceful haven, whichever style of bedroom complements your preference at The Palace Hotel, standard or modern contemporary, you are guaranteed a comfortable and memorable stay.

The hotel’s Tempus Bar & Restaurant serves international cuisine in a stylish setting. Whether you want a sandwich lunch or a pre-theatre meal in the strikingly elegant Tempus Restaurant, the mission is to simply deliver mouth-watering cuisine that caters to the dietary needs of our guests.
And with a fabulous range of cocktails, wines and beers, there's no better spot to relax after a long day and enjoy a few drinks.

The Palace Hotel does not have its own car park, however they work with the Euro Car Park. This is a secure car park located on Pritchard street, available at £8.50 per 24 hours. Valet Parking is also available at only £20 for 24 hours.
