The room we were allocated was a good size, however the decor looked tired, there were stains on the both the carpets and bed counterpane.
We were unable to breakfast on the Sunday as there was too big a queue of people waiting to be seated.
We left the hotel at 9.30am returning at 3.30pm but our room had not been made up,
we were preparing to shower and dress to leave for a concert when the maid arrived to service the room.
On the Saturday night, despite what seemed to be a function in progress,only two bar staff were on duty and service took 15 minutes,I used the bar twice on Saturday and again twice on Sunday and the same two drinks varied in price each time and by as much as £2-20.

The directions in the hotel need improving. I got lost going to my room on the first floor because the only directions I could see were to the conference rooms. Thern getting to the restaurant you have to go down to the basement and up again to the first floor

Easy walking distance to Piccadilly Station and the centre of town. However, take an umbrella as this is Manchester.

Housekeeping took 5 hours to put up a single bed in a family room. There were no dining facilities offered to guests (other than room service) on Friday evening. However, food and service in the restaurant on Staurday night were very good. We were charged £12 per 24 hours for use of car park that was not quoted in the rate.
